Remember this name: Carlos Aponte

I have a feeling you’ll be hearing his name a lot in the weeks to come. Is this the next Susan Boyle? Watch and listen and feel the goosebumps.

This young man has a beautifull voice and would love to hear him sing more. I have for years been in awe of Pavarotti and will probably continue to be so, also Bocelli voice is great as well. But this young man with more time may become one of the most fantastic singers of our time.

Regretfully, Carlos was not chosen by the “elite” trio of judges, to go forward in the competition.
Tonight, Carlos lost to 2 other ‘opera’ singers, one of which for sure did not merit the chance to go on.
I strongly suggest that Carlos consider auditioning for “American Idol”, which is a far better show and is of a higher caliber.
Nevertheless, Carlos will not need “America’s Got Talent”, to reach his goal of a recording contract or opportunities to perform live, he has secured that I am sure!

Well, at least they just freed up a couple of nights of TV for me. I’m not going to bother to watch any more because of the stupid decision.

I could not believe my ears last night when I heard that the stupid judges cut Carlos Aponte! How dare they? He was clearly the winner in my book! What a voice, what a humble man. He was the only one I listened to and got goosebumps from! If they know anything about music and singing they will take back their vote and bring him back!

I too cannot believe that Carlos Aponte was voted off by the judges on America’s Got Talent. He was one of the best singers I have seen on any talent show. He was charming and sweet, too. I am so disgusted with their ridiculous decision that I will never again watch that show. I wish Carlos all the good fortune in the world. He was given a raw deal on that show and he deserves so much better.

Add me to the list of people who will no longer watch America’s Got Talent. I really don’t understand how he was voted off by the judges and several other acts who had absolutely no talent whatsoever were moved on to Hollywood.. NBC may have lost me as a view of their network.. this is totally ridiculous.

America’s Got Talent is entertaining, but the comments from the judges seem (sometime) to be contrived – if not intentionally meant to create controversy. To be sure…some of the acts voted “in,” should be out – and vice versa. I certainly agree with some of the opinions regarding Carlos Ponte. He was (unfortunately) one of the more talented contestants that SHOULD NOT HAVE been voted off, especially when you consider some of those moving on – who have NO chance of getting much further. To reiterate some of the other postings, I believe many of your viewers would have watched upcoming shows with a sincere interest in following Mr. Ponte’s progress. I don’t believe the same will be true with the stupid impersonator/actor, hand-whistler or comedian/magician. If there is ANY way Carlos Ponte could be brought back (admitting the mistake) it would help to restore trust and credibility (especially) that the show is really looking for talent, not gimics to help boost ratings.

When you think about it there had to have been a decision to “cut him off” without any reason. He went from being in the coming shows commercials to having his performance cut very short and being voted out.

I rewatched Carlos Aponte’s original audition. After it was over, Howie told Carlos that his life will be changing soon based on this performance. That this performance was one of those special “moments” that Howie had hoped to be part of when he agreed to be a judge. Both Piers and Sharon raved about his talent. Then after the next audtion, he is kicked off the show while some of the acts that they put through are complete jokes.
I am done with America’s Got Talent! That show is now a disgrace. They have insulted my intelligience and sense of fair play and made a joke of this show. I will not watch it any more.
The producers and judges are complete idiots and should be embarrassed for their choices.

I have been reading all messages related to the disgraceful decision of the judges to eliminate Carlos Aponte from the contest. It is really offensive the decision taken being Carlos a real ood talent vs. all other contestants. Who was the person or entity which made judges changed their opinion? Was this decision taken because he is a “latino”? This “latino”is an american citizen. His passport is the most desired passport in the world (the navy blue with the golden eagle).
Probably, Howie received a telephone call from the Arizona Governor which for sure was very mad to hear that a “latino” had all the possibilities to become the winner.Ja, Ja… Those of us who know a little about classic music (operas, concerts and other) know that Carlos potential is very wide and that he should continue studying to perfectionate his voice and become a good opera singer.

What really makes the judges decision offensive is to look at some of the acts they did put through. It would be one thing if all of the acts put through were good, then we could at least say it was just a difference of opinion. However, they put some really awful people through, like that crazy keyboard lady with the big hair and wild makeup. I think the judges thought she was a funny comedy act, but I think she was just a crazy person who wanted attention! Even if they only wanted to put 2 opera singers through and there were 3 to chose from. Prince Poppycock had some talent, but that other one, the weird guy with the crazy eyes!!!! He made me so uncomfortable I couldn’t even watch him on the tv, so I would NEVER go see him in a live show in Vegas! He should have been eliminated and Carlos put through. The judge’s decision was just plain offensive!

Bring back Carlos Aponte the man has great talent which is being overlooked. Could it be that because his English is not perfect he wasn’t allowed to go any further. Hopefully an Opera Company will sign him on and show America’s Got Talent that Carlos doesn’t need them.

Oh how sad, Carlos Aponte disqualified. What a miss conception, not giving one of Puerto Rico’s worst actors, a chance to continue fooling our ignorance, because as a singer, I might say, he was not that bad, he almost convince me that he could had been our, Paul Potts or Susan Boyle. The truth is that, he turn to be who he really is… mister nobody, a miss guided soul who looked for a glory he will never disserve. If this group of “pseudo critics”, would really take the time, to see the video of this moron, not with a childish and sentimental attitude, but with the guts to se the truth, I would never had taken my time to wake them up from there MARASMO. I’d like to believe that over the fact that those 3 judges are idiots. Everyone keeps saying they took Sally (the hand whistler)..hey, I enjoyed her..she was different and endearing..the one I can’t understand is the guy who supposedly does impersinations and the crappy almost zombie like magician..but I guess they have to take some crap so they have someone to eliminate in the weeks to come..just my view

When Carlos sang I was amazed with his voice, I said another Susan Boyle. When he finished he got a standing ovation not only from the audience but the judges as-well and then to have the judges vote him off, I cannot believe they did that. He would have been in the final two. What an amazing voice. The judges really need to reconsider what a mistake they made to vote him off. I wonder what Simon Cowell thinks about this decision since he does produce this show. There were many acts that got through that don’t even come anywhere close to Carlos. Hopefully the judges will reconsider and if not they have lost my respect for their ability to understand what true talent really is. Don’t give up Carlos

I read your comments regarding Carlos Aponte, which I consider a good singer who needs to continue cultivating his voice to become a good opera singer. Hey, do you know anything about classic music, have you ever in your life heard or watch the presentation of an opera? I do not think so. You are talking about morons. I think you are the most moron of all. If you are Puertorican, you do not deserve to be called a good Puertorican. Good Puertoricans defend their people and their country. I am a good Puertorican.
