Lea Michele of ‘Glee’ ? … I Hardly Knew Yee

posted by mattaug

Lea Michele, along with Glee classmates Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith will “graduate” at the end of the coming season.

“We always knew we’d graduate in real time. It’s all part of the plan and it’s all good!” Michele tweeted, putting her best pretty face on the situation.

I’m a big old wet blanket when it comes to some shows, including the FOX show Glee.

If you’ll pardon the rhyme, I just knew Glee wasn’t for me.

I’m not a big song and dance guy, nor do I care for strong/obnoxious in your face characters.

It seemed to me Michele is kind of that way, and Jane Lynch CERTAINLY is.

So I have not have received any joy out of watching Glee.

The show has obviously done an amazing job of marketing itself with millions of dollars in record sales, however.

And Jimmy Fallon’s brilliant parody of the program at the Emmys was a show-stopper.

But that might be the last you hear of me … when it comes to Glee.

I am so happy that Lea is coming back, I am not sure how these HS shows work tho, eventually they all grow up.

leave it to you to do such a good job with teaching your kids. It could get to the point where you watch nothing on TV, because so many shows have shortcomings or “issues” in them. You’ll draw the line, I am sure!

I’m not a big fan of the storylines in the show, but I have teenage daughters and they are very into this show because of the singing and dancing. My girls are very involved in theatre so this show is something they can relate to in that way. That said, I have found a way to turn the show into a positive. I watch it with my girls and then we discuss the issues that are raised in the show. It gives us a lot to talk about which is always a good thing at this age.

So, while I don’t agree with all the things they show on the this program, it does give me an opportunity to turn it into life lessons to discuss with my girls.

A recent newspaper article that indicated Twitter is some kind of fad that could come and go in the next few years seems kind of sad to me. The great equalizer in our society isn't economic or legal or anythin

Missing Sammy Davis Jr., Twinkies
I just noticed that the late, great Sammy Davis Jr's birthday, Dec. 8, came and went over the weekend. I miss the talented man, who broke down racial barriers through high great singing, dancing and even acting skills. Yes, even the latter, as judged by his appearance on the TV classic "All in
