alohaWhat a gift it was to spend a month in Latvia and Lithuania with so many of loving people. No matter where I go people give me gifts of angels. This time I was given several beautiful hand made angels. When I unpack them I will share pictures of them with you.

I am really looking forward to being home, sleeping in my own bed and being surrounded by all my loved ones. After my mom died I missed having a home. I had a place to live but I didn’t have a home.

What makes the place you live into a home?

I think the answer to that question is different for each of us but angels sure helped me. I think of a home is the place you feel safe and loved. Every since I invited the angels into my house it has felt like a home.

A friend gave me a little cherub-faced angel to hang over my door. It is only symbolic but for me it is a wonderful reminder. It only takes a simple prayer to create a home filled with love. A prayer and a little gratitude is all you need to fill your home with  love.

It matters little exactly what you say, what does matter is your sincerity especially if you follow it up with a big dose of gratitude.

A Prayer

I give thanks for this place to live. I ask that it be filled with the love and laughter of the divine. May the angels embrace all who enter here. May their love keep me safe and help me to remember to always share that love with others. I am grateful for their presence in my life and for the blessings they so freely give to anyone who asks and is willing to receive.

Perhaps put a little prayer where you place your keys to help you remember to give thanks when you enter and leave your  home.

How do you  make your house a home?

I’d love to hear your suggestions in the comments below.
