I was watching Martha Williamson’s video today and as always I was inspired. As I thought about my Fearless Fridays post I was reminded that faith really can erase all of our fears. As one of my mentors reminded me one day years ago, angels either are or they aren’t.They aren’t there just some of the times either.

I often tell my students to trust the process. When we have faith miracles are possible and do occur.

This idea runs contrary to what seems logical but it works. One of my favorite tools for dealing with fear is using my imagination to imagine the worse possible thing that could happen. I make it as horrible as possible. If I am worried about money I imagine myself being homeless, pushing a shopping cart, smelling bad and being totally miserable. Then I ask myself if that is what I want to create. Since I have made the image as bad as I could the answer is always a resounding, NO!

Then I spend a few moments focusing on what I do want to experience, in this case having more than enough money. I focus on how that would feel and ask myself if that is what I want. Of course the answer is YES. Then whenever my fear comes back I repeat the process, spending as much time as possible focusing on what I do want. I replace my fear with faith. In the process I also spend sometime in prayer, asking for assistance, guidance and faith. I open my heart and my mind to the loving supportive presence of the angels and then let the whole issue go. I do what seems ot be the next indicated step, knowing I am being guided by a wisdom far greater than mine.

Just for today decide to act in faith rather than react in fear. See what happens. You might even want to make it a regular habit.

With love and aloha,
Susan
