Aloha,

When people are going through a rough time, I often hear them say that. When a child dies or someone is murdered, they ask why God let it happen. My own dad believed dead is dead and there is no such thing as God because his father suffered a very long, lingering, and painful illness. My dad refused to believe in a God that would let his father suffer. He spent most of his life angry and feeling betrayed.

Personally, I don’t believe God caused my grandfather’s suffering. God only creates perfection, love, peace, and joy. Fear and our belief that we are in some way separate from the angelic realms and God creates the rest.

When I look at nature, I see God. The beauty and perfection of the earth, the magic of the stars, the vastness of the universe, and the smell of the earth when it rains. To me those are all manifestations of God, the Goddess, the Great Spirit or whatever you choose to call the energy of creation. When I see war, violence, and disease, I see the results of our filter system, our creativity, our belief that we are separate from one another and God.

The universe only has one answer and that is “yes.” Whatever we ask for we get. The problem is all of our requests are filtered through our beliefs, agreements, attitudes, and assumptions. If you have ever reached for something underwater, you know that water distorts your vision. Our belief that we aren’t spirits or angels, if you will, in physical bodies severely distorts our vision.

So, for today, why not practice seeing yourself as an angel in a physical body? Act that way, feel it, see it, and believe it. Then see what happens to your experience of life.

With love and aloha from beautiful Lithuania,
Susan
