First Lady Michelle Obama has reached out to military families around the country to learn more about the challenges faced by servicemembers’ spouses and children. Mrs. Obama has also asked for spouses’ candid assessment of their situation and needs.

For military spouses enduring a partner’s deployment, staying positive may be the hardest struggle of all. I should know. I have been there. Here are ten tips to help military spouses call on their inner resources and make it through deployment.
