A new documentary from National Geographic, "His Holiness the Dalai Lama: Peace and Prosperity," encapsulates the compassionate message of the esteemed Tibetan leader. The film covers a 2007 talk he gave on promoting religious harmony, how to cultivate patience, and what we can do to stay hopeful.
In the first of the clips from the movie below, Richard Gere discusses why the Tibetan leader has moved so many political leaders, in addition to the Nobel Prize committee and millions of students around the world. In the second, Nicholas Vreeland, a monk in the Dalai Lama's Tibetan tradition, talks about how the Dalai Lama teaches us about cooling our anger by just being himself.
