Thank you to everyone who entered Beliefnet's summer blogging contest last month. There were more than 100 entrants, who contributed thousands of provocative, interesting, and touching journal posts. Our staff and panel of judges narrowed the entrants down to five finalists. Now it's YOUR turn: you can choose the final winner by voting in the poll to the right.

Melzoom: Melzoom's journal is a fun and touching meditation on the meaning pets bring to our lives. She discusses her spiritual connection to her dogs, shares stories of her own dogs and other dogs she works with, mourns lost pets, shares favorite pet websites, and more, Check out the blog.

Jbbc: Diagnosed with breast cancer at age 34, Jbbc's blog is a heartfelt description of her journey through healing and recovery. In addition to personal anecdotes and meditations, she cites articles, studies, and quotes that other people going through a similar journey of healing and recovery will find useful and inspiring. Check out the blog.

Emerging_butterfly: Member Emerging_butterfly suffered a painful loss several months ago, when her twin sons died in utero. Her blog chronicles her journey through this loss, and her continued appreciation for her other children and the world around her. Check out the blog.

Jesmith: Jesmith shares his reflections on the wide world of religion and spiritual living through a thoughtful and literary lens. He intersperses insightful writing with funny video, poetry, and thought-provoking quotes. Although this member identifies as a Christian, his blog is informed by many traditions, from Buddhism to Jungian psychology to Hindu texts, and more.  Check out the blog.

The winner will receive recognition as the official winner of the Beliefnet Community blogging contest, plus promotion of his or her blog on Beliefnet's homepage, permanent placement (as long as the blog continues to be updated) on Beliefnet's Blogs page, and promotion in Beliefnet newsletters and content pages.
