Have you been feeling out of sorts? Has misfortune seemed to plague you lately? This could be a run of bad luck or maybe, just maybe, you’re under psychic attack. When most people hear that word, they think of the evil eye, magic, and cursing. But psychic attack is nothing more than negative energy someone sends you consciously or unconsciously. Most psychic attacks manifest as thought forms rooted in jealousy, anger or revenge.

Unconscious attacks are the most common. These occur when someone close to you -- a friend, family member, partner, a spouse or neighbor – is thinking of you so often with feelings of hate, jealousy or anger that these emotions solidify into negative energy which are then directed at you. The person mad at you isn’t even aware the force of their energy is so strong that their negative emotions are send from their mind to you and your aura.

Conscious negative attacks occur when someone intentionally sends you bad energy. Sometimes this can happen in the form of a ritual, spell, or curse. But that is rare. Usually the psychic attack is a form of simple focused intention where the perpetrator willingly sends you bad energy. Don’t let this scare you, however, because this article will help you learn how to protect yourself.

With intentional energy it’s important to remember that whatever you put into the world comes back to you three times. If someone intentionally wishes you harm, that bad energy will return to them threefold. Karma is a busy girl, so this might take some time but it does return to the sender. It always does. As Rumi taught us, “The world is a mountain in which your words are echoed back to you.”

Do you think you’ve been attacked psychically? Sometimes it can be hard to tell. Often bad luck is just a result of poor choices or a hesitancy to make a needed change. Usually you will know because the intensity of the bad luck feels focused on you. Here are some symptoms of being under attack.

  • Extreme fatigue—feeling drained of energy for no reason
  • Nightmares – having your sleep disturbed by frightening images
  • Unexplained pains in your body – especially around the chest, neck, and shoulders. Often psychic attack clusters around the heart chakra. Either way, you should get these pains checked out by a medical doctor
  • Experiencing an increase in anger for no reason
  • Suddenly doubting yourself and questioning your worth
  • Feeling as though a heavy cloud is hanging over you
  • Experiencing a sudden run of bad luck—appliances breaking, computer acting up, difficulties at work, sudden car problems.

Taken separately these are not symptoms of psychic attack. They are merely factors of life. But when experienced together and these issues aren’t a part of your normal life, then they can be a sign that you’re under psychic attack. Check with your medical doctor first and always, but in addition practice psychic protection techniques to put an end to the attack.

Usually, we know who’s attacking us. It could be an angry co-worker, a negative boss, a vengeful ex-spouse, an envious friend you needed to distance yourself from, the crazy neighbor who hates the way you mow your lawn. It’s typically not the person who flipped you off in traffic, the irate customer at work or the irritable barrister at your local coffee shop. In order for a true psychic attack to occur, you must have a sustained relationship with the attacker, and the attacker must hold this negativity toward you with an intensity of emotion for an extended period of time.

There are cases where an individual can psychically attack themselves. We can create, attract, and direct our own dark energy. Years of resentment, shame and guilt directed at oneself can create its own form of attack. This can only occur if the negative self-thoughts have two ingredients 1) time and 2) intensity. You must have these negative thoughts over a prolonged period of time and there must be an intensity of emotion behind the thoughts.

This is why forgiveness is so important. As the old saying goes, “Not forgiving someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.” When we hold on to anger, resentment and hate we are the ones who suffer – especially if the person we are most angry with is ourselves.

Now that we’ve established how psychic attack works, let’s look at what you can do to protect yourself.

The Aura

The aura is your first line of defense. If your aura is strong, it will cause negative energy to bounce off of you. Health and happiness keep an aura strong. Weekly meditation, a strong spiritual practice, chakra cleansing, a healthy diet, exercise, daily gratitude, self-love and service keep an aura strong. Doing anything to excess like smoking, drinking, or over eating will weaken your aura. Going through difficult times such as relationship turmoil, job loss, or health concerns will weaken our aura. Deep seeded feelings of self-doubt put holes in our aura. Experiencing an illness and having surgery cut holes in our aura. The best way to keep your aura strong through all that life throws at you is to practice self-love. Honor yourself. Believe in yourself. Make you a priority. Set healthy boundaries. Remove yourself from negative people and situations. Imagine your aura filling with light every day.
