Dr. Gina Ogden is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a board-certified sex-therapy diplomate whose nationwide survey, "Integrating Sexuality and Spirituality" (ISIS), reveals that the core power of sexual connection is its ability to transform our lives—at any age, whether or not we have a partner. She has been interviewed widely in the media, and she conducts ISIS workshops around the country--to help participants expand their capacity for love, creativity, compassion, and pleasure as they open to the profound wisdom of their own bodies, minds, hearts and spirits. She is a longstanding clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the International Society for the Study Women's Sexual Health, and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. She is an associate professor of sexology at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality and a consulting editor for Contemporary Sexuality, the journal of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. She has served as a consultant for several editions of Our Bodies, Ourselves and for to the U.S. Surgeon General's 2001 "Call to Action for Healthy Sexual Behavior." She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she is writing her seventh book, "The Return of Desire." Her most recent books are: The Heart and Soul of Sex: Making the ISIS Connection--which was featured on Dr. Christiane Northrup's PBS special "The Wisdom of Menopause," and Women Who Love Sex: Ordinary Women Describe Their Paths to Pleasure, Intimacy, and Ecstasy, which was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show.
