The world is sustained by three things: scriptures, worship and loving deeds -Ethics of the Fathers. Peace-Sense-Liturgy. Three words used to make a statement of purpose. Reform. To amend or improve. Shuckle. Associated with prayer that moves the body to shake or sway. Liberal, pluralist, texan, angrier-than-thou, reform, liturgical, confident, southern, certain, ritual, cultural, holier-than-thou, diasporist, pro-Israel, ethnic, nationalist, sarcastic, progressive, pro-peace. Words used to describe a particular bloggers values and characteristics.A while back I was surfing the internet (do people still use that term?) and I landed on a Word Press Blog; . The header (see paragraph above) looked to me like a personal statement of principles and I immediately took to it. The word “schuckle” alone, brings to mind the warmest of memories. I came to formal worship late in life and learned the choreography of prayer sitting behind a righteous man, a good man; Howard Sinton, of blessed memory. Howard shuckled. He would sway back and forth when reciting the holy words and I would follow his movements, because I was learning and it seemed like the right thing to do.
