It's rough when you're not feeling well. Abigail speaks for us all as she shares her prayer for recovery.
My body seems to have turned on me.
My head is fluid.
My stomach has flipped upside down
and I've got a wretched case
of the shivering sweats.
I am losing time to my sickness.
My body is an enemy.
Stay here with me, won't You?
Lay a cool hand on my forehead
and soothe my aching limbs.
Draw the fever out.
Warm what's chilled, cool what's heated.
Restore my health.
Restore my energy.
Restore my spirit.
Bring peace between my mind and my body,
so that each cares for the other,
supporting and sustaining.
Draw me into good health with a gracious heart,
to bring You praise
for the blessing of a healthy body.

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up"
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
