A Shining Moment in Politics: How Obama influenced Prayables
I had one shining moment in politics, and I picked the perfect time to have it; the 2008 Presidential Campaign. I met Barack Obama at a home house party in Highland Park in the early stages when he was running for Illinois Senate. I didn’t agree with all he had to say, but I loved the way he said it. His character, principles and leadership qualities were the magnet that initially drew me to work for a better world, from the top down. And why not? Barack had ideas for change— big change, something our country was sorely in need of. So, I became a teeny-tiny little cog in the biggest and best fund-raising team in history. Read next feature >
