Daily Prayer
My house still shelters us, but not for long. Soon my family and I will be swept away in the brutal tsunami that is foreclosure. My house is no longer my house. How do I get through this? I need You to remind me, my house is merely walls and nails. My family's love always has a solid foundation. That foundation can never be taken away.

The program was scheduled to start at 8:15 a.m. With no explanation or apology, the opening remarks took place a half hour late. A move like that puts my critics cap on from the get go. I was downtown for NAWBO Day. The National Association of Women Business Owners and Crain's Chicago Business sponsored a small business owner's conference. I was an attendee at the breakfast and panel discussion. As long as I'm bitching... the breakfast was sweet rolls, donuts, and mini bagels. Not a carton of yogurt or a slice of fresh fruit in sight. Panel moderator and local news celebrity Mary Ann Childers was at the other side of the buffet table. We exchanged guilty comments...
