A Heart of Trust  

I will abide in your love,
even when the path seems dark.
I know you are the light to brighten my way.
I trust in your hands, holding me when I cannot hold myself,
believing that you care for me above all else.
I get scared because the road seems so long,
I ask so many times for an answer with nothing in response.
I know you are there listening in silence,
I don’t understand why you don’t answer my prayers.
Especially when I believe so strongly that you will.

My faith wavers at times,
but I know in my heart of hearts that you are there.
There is a bigger picture than my wants and needs;
I know that if I trust in you I will make it through.
I will believe even though I can’t see you.
I will trust even when it seems like you are not there.
And I will surrender all I have to you,
because your love is everything I need.
