With new age technology, it's easy to lose track where your information actually is. Your first assumption, is that everything is on your phone. Well, you’re kinda right. As you and your devices become more connected, the information on the device exists in more than one place. For example, in regards to the iOS platform, images are stored on a data center in a place you don’t know and couldn’t ever get access to without a warrant. The same goes for other platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox and Facebook - anything you upload, no matter the privacy settings is stored on a computer you do not own and can not directly access.
