ROSEMONT, Pa., Nov. 29 (AP) - In a story about a Nov. 26 gathering of conservative Anglican archbishops, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Episcopal Church delegates at a July convention in Denver had permitted bishops to ordain homosexuals and local clergy to bless same-sex unions without fear of reprisal.

The convention passed a resolution acknowledging the existence of unwed Episcopal couples, but rejected proposals to write blessing liturgies to support them. Though the church officially opposes same-sex relations, in practice it brings no sanctions against those who ordain actively homosexual clergy or conduct same-sex unions.
