Friendship is Love

“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” – John 15:12-15

God is love. And God showed his love and friendship by allowing his son to lay down His life for us.

Could we make the same sacrifice for our friends? In times of sorrow, in happiness; through the trials and tribulations, the celebration and successes – can we stand alongside our friends and be there for support and love them unconditionally? What kind of friend do you want to be?
