While you may be an intelligent woman with a good head on your shoulders, knowing way better than to go down the romance road with a shady man, sometimes the signs aren’t always that easy to read or we simply refuse to see them. Before you end up with a frog permanently, make sure you pay attention to these six warning signs. Unless your boo is a pilot or a certified world traveler, he shouldn’t always be missing in action, especially with little excuse or lame ones. He also shouldn’t be hiding from every conversation you try to bring up on the subject of commitment. If he wants to be with you and is serious about the relationship, there should be no room for confusion. If he’s exhibiting any of these characteristics throughout your relationship, run. He Claims He Doesn’t Want Anything Serious

The excuses guys and girls both use to blow each other off leave room for misinterpretation, especially when the person on the receiving end feels differently. The harsh reality is, when a guy says ‘I’m not looking for anything serious,’ he really means ‘I’m not looking for anything serious with you.' Know that if a guy wanted to be with you, those words would have never left his mouth. To all the guys that have said, ‘I’m not looking for anything serious,’ take the time and ask yourself: did the girl you expressed this to tell you that she was looking for something serious? Don’t assume a girl wants a relationship because of your stereotypes about women. This is beyond egotistical and speaks to a guy’s insecurities more than anything. We assume too much because the biggest problem with our current generation is communication.

He’s Only Available When He’s Available

If the guy you’re dating isn’t looking to settle down and commit with just one woman, he will keep you on standby. Because he has so many different women he is talking to, when one of them flakes out on him, he always has another girl who’s willing to meet up with him at the last minute. You may think he’s being spontaneous, and you’re probably excited to spend a few hours with him, but his tendency to only spend time with you last minute is a huge sign that he just wants to keep his options open. A guy who is really interested in you won’t just hit you up when he’s available. He’ll want to check in with you all the time. He’ll want to get to know you. He’ll never wait until the last second to link up with you. Texts at 1am are a major sign you’re simply on standby.

He’s Super Flirty Around Women

There’s a difference between being friendly and being flirty with girls and for some reason, the lines are always blurred. If he’s constantly flirting with women, let him know how it makes you feel. If you think he’s looking to cheat, that’s a much bigger problem to deal with than his mere flirting. It’s time to reassess your relationship and talk seriously about what’s going on. But if it’s just his flirting with attractive that gets to you, it’s still important not to brush the problem under the rug and let the issue eat away at you. Rather than giving him a hard time when you notice him flirting, wait for a neutral time and tell him honestly how it makes you feel when he’s being overly friendly or flirtatious.

His Texts Are Super Generic

Texting is the most convenient form of communication. But there’s a reason why a guy who’s keeping his options open only communicates to you via text. For the non-committal man who has a number of women he’s talking to; texting is fast, easy and doesn’t require a lot of effort. If his texts sound super generic, it’s likely that he’s sending that message to other women in his phone. He could copy and paste the same message to ten different women, and replying back to his influx of messages takes him less than two minutes. When it comes to being in a relationship, building a bond and getting to know someone, nothing beats talking to them on the phone or in person.

He’s Never Introduced You to His Friends

When a guy is really serious about you, he will be anxious to introduce you to everyone – from his BFFs to his colleagues. He will want to show off the intelligent and beautiful woman he has been spending so much time with, and more than likely, he has already told his friends everything there is to know about you. But if the guy you’re dating is seeing other women, he will definitely hold off on making that grand introduction. It’ll be way too messy for him to introduce every woman in his life to his friends, and he doesn’t want to make his buddies feel awkward or in an uncomfortable position. If it has been months and you still haven’t met his friends, it’s definitely not a good sign.
