Words of Wisdom for Thanksgiving

We love the fall, the food, and Thanksgiving. It’s a time of year to practice what we are grateful for, even when things are not going our way. Gratitude helps our mental health and helps our immune systems remain healthy. When you’re positive and thankful, our lives seem to take on new life. Here’s some food for thought for Thanksgiving.

Each Morning

“For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, For love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Bounties of Heaven

“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown.” -Abraham Lincoln

Provision

“Thank you God for all you provision and protection this year.”

Thanks

“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.” G.K. Chesterton

Find Something

“Find something to be thankful for.” –Joel Osteen

Reflection

"Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some." -Charles Dickens

Thank People

“We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.”  -John F. Kennedy
