If you’re in the pool of most Americans, you’re probably dealing with some form of debt. Before the New Year, many of us tell ourselves that we will stop our crazy spending habits and manage our debt better. But this resolution is a lot easier said than done. Not only have we spent the dollars we didn’t have for all our special holiday gifts, the debt that we’re in can be so deep, it can be impossible to eliminate it all at once. Many financial advisors recommend that you make small budget-friendly goals for yourself, instead of large unattainable goals. Baby steps if you will. Instead to buying lunch during your break every day, begin to pack your lunches. You’d be surprised how much money you’ll pocket when you stash what you would have spent away.
