Challenge Your Anxious Thoughts
When it comes to talking to others, don’t immediately jump to worst-case scenarios. You’ll talk yourself out of conversation completely. Acknowledge that fear is present, and instead of viewing whatever’s in your head as fact, view it only as a story. It’s just a story in your head. Challenge yourself to not listen to that story in your head today. The more you do this, the easier it’ll be for your guard to come down.
