When a 3-year-old wrote a letter to his beloved pup in ‘Doggie Heaven’, he received some comforting words from an unlikely source: a window clerk at a local post office. Understanding his pain and loss, the clerk wanted to do something special for him and wrote him back with a beautiful response that read “I’m in doggie heaven. I play all day, I am happy. Thank You 4 being my friend.” In an interview, the woman said she felt it in her heart. “There was a child who had lost his dog, and any time you love something and it goes away, it hurts,” she said. Boy, can we all relate. Not only was this a beautiful act of kindness, it reminds of how much people can care about the well-being of others, even when they don’t know them.

Homeless Man Returns Lost Purse to Struggling Woman

A homeless man returned a lost purse containing nearly $400 to its owner – a struggling single mother who was battling recurrent brain cancer. When the man opened up the wallet and saw a public assistance debit card, he knew she was struggling too and turned the purse over to the homeless shelter which was able to track her down. When interviewed by WJAC-TV 6 in Johnston, the woman who lost her purse said she felt like her entire life was in the there and she was glad to have it back. How can you not be touched by this man’s act of kindness? Both the man and woman declined to be identified by name, but we are still left with an inspiring story.
