“May the grace of Christ, our Savior, And the Father’s boundless love, With the Holy Spirit’s favor, Rest upon us from above. Thus may we abide in union With each other and the Lord And possess, in sweet communion, Joys which earth cannot afford. Amen.”
You don’t have to go through a troublesome time to want in order to want Christ by your side. When our loved ones die and pass over to heaven, we are comforted with the idea and notion that they are looking down upon us from heaven. We consider our deceased family and friends to be angels that are on our side. Even though their presence is no longer physical, we’re comforted with the notion that they are still spiritually by our side. Short prayers can help provide the comfort and reassurance that goes along with the desire to be on a deeper connection with Jesus.
