Pray
“and pray…”
Sure, it seems rather self-explanatory that to have our prayers answered we need to pray; but this statement invites us to experience prayer in ways we may not have experienced. God beckons us to a deeper, more personal relationship with him in prayer. Here, while we desire answers, we are able to enter into a time and place where the deepest of our desires is God’s will.
Interestingly, if we haven’t been successful at committing ourselves to God fully and humbling ourselves completely, this deep prayer will never be accomplished. We will only be able to go so far because what we do will still be about us and not about him.
