James 1:14 says, “When tempted, no one should say, ‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.” When our faith falters, it’s easy to blame someone else. When Adam sinned, he blamed Eve. And when Eve sinned, she blamed the snake. We can blame God or Satan when we are tempted, but we must accept the fact that, more often than not, our own evil desires are to blame.
