"I love being a Mormon! It is wonderful to be able to covenant with the Lord. To know why I am on the earth, to understand where we go after we have lived our lives. To enjoy the wonderful spirit in the temple. I love singing inspired hymns every Sunday. Meeting missionaries and sharing their special spirit nearly daily. Teaching my children they have a purpose in life."

"...We value relationships--our individual relationships with God and the Savior, Joseph Smith's relationship with God, the current Prophet's relationship with God, and our relationships with each other, begun before this mortal existence, tried and sealed in this earthly sojourn, and glorified through the eternities...

"...I also wanted to mention how important music is to my Mormon experience. I'm not very good at it, but I love the feeling I get from singing with my fellow saints, and find a couple of LDS hymns to be particularly touching, including:

  • Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing
  • Come, Come, Ye Saints
  • The Spirit of God
  • If You Could Hie to Kolob"

  • "I LOVE being L.D.S. because: Knowing the truth and living it are two separate things. Striving for it is a difficult challenge at times. When you are permitted into the house of the Lord (our temples), you realize just how significant you are. That you really do have worth, You are a CHILD of GOD. The knowledge that my Heavenly Father loves me enough to allow me to live with my family beyond death--forever (if I live his word)..."

"I love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, who offer just a glimpse of what the Angelic Choirs must be like in the Celestial Realms.

"I love the Temple, for all it stands for...the hope of eternal family relationships, freedom for the lost, and the justice and mercy of a loving Heavenly Father.

"I love the wonderful scriptures that have been restored to the earth through the Prophets of the Restoration: The Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, The Pearl of Great Price... and I love how these scriptures help me to understand the Bible better.

"I love the Priesthood, Relief Society, and the other organizations of the Church, and the way the Church is able and willing to help those who need help. And I love the missionaries, young men and women who, without remuneration, freely give their time and devote their lives for up to two years, so that others like me, can have the opportunity to hear the wonderful message they bring...that God Lives, Jesus Christ is truly the Savior of the World, and the gospel with all its ordinances and blessings has been restored for the benefit of all who will listen and obey, and that there are Living Prophets on the Earth now, as always."

"I like the idea of authority. Believing that God's authority rests in this church gives me great hope. I do not believe that all who confess His name can preach His gospel and perform His ordinances. Rather, I believe He calls. It gives my belief system a structure without which it would become amorphous."

"The best part is the Gift of the Holy Ghost. With this gift I can receive constant guidance, I can (and do) receive a strong spiritual confirmation of the truthfulness of the Gospel. Because of this gift, I don't have to blindly believe whatever is taught (either for or against the Church). I can take the matter to the Lord and KNOW the truth."

"Everything fits right into place...from the Book of Mormon, D&C, Bible to our present day Prophet. It's like a huge puzzle of life...to most it's incomplete and you can't make out the big picture...as a Mormom we are given pieces that fit just right and the puzzle becomes clearer...the answers to "why we are here?" and "where are we going?" are answered in truth through the Holy Spirit. I truly love being a Mormon and knowing our Heavenly Father's plan for all of us."
