8 Things Jesus Wants You to Do Now

What does Jesus really want from His followers? This is a question that many Christians worry about daily, because they want to serve God and live a Christian life. However many followers get caught up in other aspects of their lives and focus on their careers, relationships, finances and other major choices over doing what Jesus wants us to do.

Jesus cares about those areas of our life too; however there are actions we should be taking that honor the Will of Jesus. We should be submitting ourselves to the things Jesus asked of us in the Bible and do so daily. What Jesus wants us to do right now is written out explicitly for us so that we understand exactly how to honor Him fully.

Don’t hesitate or put it off any longer. Make sure you are being an active Christian and honoring Jesus through these actions now.

Worry Less

Constant worrying only causes us to stray farther away from God. We focus on our problems and let fear overrule our lives. By doing this, we are saying that our problems are too big for God to handle. This cannot be more false. Jesus doesn’t want us to walk alone and instead provides us with everything we need to overcome obstacles in life. If we choose to trust in the Lord despite the harsh circumstances we may be going through, Jesus will bless us with a blanket of peace that casts away worry and anxiety. God’s peace is more than anything we can understand, and will continue to guard our hearts and minds if we choose to live in Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:6-7).

Spread the Word of God

Some people are afraid to share their faith with others because of judgement, backlash and criticism. Jesus faced disbelievers throughout His entire life, yet never let those stop Him from teaching others the power of God. Jesus turned many deniers into Christians through His patience, love, and willingness to speak with others. You should want to do the same. Through living a life as a Christian, you are already showing others what it means to love. Don’t be afraid to take that further and share the Bible with those you know. Even people who are strongly against the faith have a chance of being saved, because all things are possible with God (Luke 18:26-27). So go ahead and take that new person to church, and have the patience and willingness to answer their questions about Jesus.
