Psalms Is Not the Longest Book of the Bible
If you were asked what the longest book of the Bible is, your answer would probably be Psalms. There are 150 psalms, so it would be the greatest in length, right? Wrong. While most people assume the Psalms is the longest book of the Bible, it isn’t. The longest book in the Bible is actually the book of Jeremiah, which consists of 33,002 words. The Psalms isn’t even next in line. The second longest book of the Bible is actually Genesis, which consists of 32,046 words. Third in line is the Psalms, which consists of 30,147 words.
