Miriam
At the very core of who we are is a woman who is capable of great joy. Oftentimes, however, we get mired in the details of our lives as wives, mothers, sisters, and friends. We forget that joy is a very tangible way to appreciate the life that has been given to us by God.
Miriam’s entire life was one of joy and gratitude—even when it was in the weeds of the waters as she put her baby brother in the basket. Her trust in God never waned and later, when He led His people out of bondage, Miriam danced and sang her praises. When we aren’t sure if God is with us, Miriam shows us that all He asks is our trust and then shows that it won’t be long before we are dancing and singing His praises!
