Take the 21-day financial fast challenge. Fasting at its essence is about self-denial. And Lord knows there’s a need these days for people to deny their desires. For it’s these wanton desires that have caused financial pain for so many. The 21-day financial fast is for you if you are stressed about your finances or you’re having money problems in your relationship with your spouse, friends, or family. Or maybe you are already a good money manager, but you’re looking for ways to do better with the resources God has given you. Whatever your financial situation, I challenge you to spend the next twenty-one days fasting.

Day 3: If You Want to Recieve You Have to Give

It’s so easy to refuse to help others when you feel they’ve been fiscally irresponsible. It’s tempting to pass judgment and think you’ve done better for yourself on your own. But don’t be so arrogant to think you got where you are by your own actions. Contrary to popular wisdom, you can’t pull yourself up by your own bootstraps. Whether you acknowledge it or not, you had help. There are responsibilities that come with being prosperous. You should give and give generously. Of course, you have to be careful about whom and how you help. You don’t want to give in a way that will enable someone to continue bad money habits. However, if you are in a position to help someone, then help.
