Jaccob Slavin: Men's Ice Hockey

Men's ice hockey standout Jacob Slavin is a two-time winner of the Lady Byng Trophy, which is presented to the NHL player who best combines "sportsmanship, gentlemanly conduct and ability."

Slavin's best season was in 2021-2022 when he scored 42 points in 29 games for the Carolina Hurricanes. Faith has always been an important part of Slavin's life.

"I was raised in a Christian home, so my faith has definitely always been a part of who I am," he has said. In adulthood, he has pursued a close relationship with Jesus Christ that follows him onto the ice and into life.
