Franklin offers us a very practical, matter-of-fact book on fears that are common amongst all of us and how to overcome them. He speaks out of his own experiences which are not examples of big adventures in the wilderness or fighting crime in the streets. No, he shares of times when he was afraid of dating, afraid of getting married, afraid of public speaking and more. He shares how his life changed because he chose to stand up to fear, rather than cower in front of it. He also explains that “fearlessness” is not the absence of fear, but knowing how to walk boldly in spite of the fear.

This is not a book to make you feel bad for ever fearing anything and he doesn’t try to harp on the notion that fear is a sin as some pastors do. Fear is fact of life and Jesus is the one to help us move on through the fear.
