In an interview with The Rock Church, Russell shared how God spoke to him in the singer’s dressing room and said ‘I need you to lead her.’ Right then and there he asked Ciara what would it look like if they took all the extra stuff off the table and did it Jesus’ way, referring to abstaining from sex. She agreed. While they have both said that abstinence isn’t always easy, they are learning so much about each other through the process and growing in their relationship. They look to be happier than ever together.
