Sleepless in Seattle
Sleepless in Seattle, a classic romantic comedy, was directed by the late Nora Ephron and inspired by the 1957 film, An Affair to Remember.
Tom Hanks plays Sam Baldwin, a Chicago architect who becomes a single father after losing his wife to cancer. Sam has trouble moving on, even after his move to Seattle, Washington.
His son Jonah (played by Ross Malinger), calls into a radio station one night and expresses his worry about his father finding love again.
A reporter from Baltimore, Annie Reed (actress Meg Ryan), is among one of many women who hear the radio show and impulsively writes a letter to Sam. She asks Sam to meet him at the top of the Empire State Building on Valentine’s Day.
