Kellan Lutz and his wife, Brittany Gonzales, left California for Tennessee in 2023, following members of Gonzales’ family who had relocated after the pandemic.
Gonzales was born and raised in Orange County, but Lutz said having family nearby became increasingly important as they raised their young children. Because his acting career can take him away from home for extended periods, the move gave Gonzales a much-needed support system while he was working on location.
The couple found more than family support in Tennessee. They also discovered community and a place where their Christian faith could be part of everyday life.
“We got some land, got great Bible studies that we're a part of, great churches, great community,” Lutz said of their life in Tennessee.
For Lutz and Gonzales, the move offered the combination they were looking for: family nearby, room for their children to grow and a strong faith community to call home.
