Raised Catholic in the Chicago area, Caroline attended Mother Guerin High School. After graduating from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana, Caroline returned to the Chicago area to pursue a career in journalism. As a freelance writer, she attended a seminar of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross and was thrown into a "crisis of meaning." Inspired, she attended Mundelein College, receiving a master's degree in theology in 1979. She moved east and started the Stillpoint Publishing Company in New Hampshire. During this time, she acknowledged her medical intuitive abilities. She started working with holistic doctors, co-wrote "The Creation of Health" with Norman Shealy, M.D., and began creating audiotapes and lecturing around the world.

She is the author of several best-selling books, including "Anatomy of the Spirit," "Why People Don't Heal and How They Can," and "Sacred Contracts," as well as audio- and videotapes. In 1994, she stopped giving private medical intuitive readings, opting instead to deliver her message to a wider audience through lectures and workshops.

A prominent figure in holistic consciousness, she lives in Oak Park, Illinois.
