How I’ll do this

I’m not going to attempt a day-by-day trip report. I don’t think that’s how I’ll remember this trip anyway. I’m just going to sort of mentally drift through Rome, picking sites and experiences as they come to me. Oh, and…we’re back!
The measure of a trip

We got off the plane in Cincinnati earlier this evening, and Katie remarked, "I think that was the same gate we left from" and I stepped in to correct her…Oh no, I was going to say, we left from that gate for some flight, but not for this trip…that other time we left from that…
A day in Rome…

…in the morning, witnessing a slow, solemn procession of (I think) Spanish pilgrims singing folk (real folk) -tinged music through St. Paul-Outside-the-Walls …in the evening, stepping aside as a loud Hare Krishna parade makes its way through Campo di Fiore …in between running into blogger Gashwin Gomes in the courtyard of San Clemente
