Well, the journeys have begun to World Youth Day..Some links if you’re interested in following.
The official WYD site
The NCRegister’s Pope2008 blog has transitioned into a pretty full-service WYD2008 blog. Links to lots of articles about the event, the pilgrims and so on.
Britain’s Catholic Herald has a good WYD portal going.

The Archdiocese of San Antonio’s pilgrimage blog
Indy Archdiocese pilgrims are blogging here.
Nashville pilgrims here, led by Vanderbilt Catholic chaplain Fr. John Sims Baker.

Here’s the Pope’s schedule. He leaves Saturday.
There’s lots of interest – for example, the Pope will be confirming 24 young people at the finall Mass on 7/20.
I assume if any readers are going…they’ve already gone. But if you got folks going or you’re in Australia with internet access and care to comment and tell us what you’re experiencing…please do!
Update:

Juventutem is a group for Catholic youth who are interested in traditional liturgy. Here’s their USA site.
There are several Juventutem events going on at WYD – the Australian branch has details and they are blogging about it here. Actually, this article is a little more clear than the website as to what’s going on:

Our international pilgrims will gather here from New Zealand, France, Switzerland, the US, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Nigeria, Kenya and Uganda.
