Well, that’s what one of the captions to one of the photos of Corpus Christi in Brazil – although the "rugs" also include coffee, sawdust and other materials.

Pope is on his way up the hill..he’s not walking, but riding with the Host in the back of a truck. I dunno, I almost think if I were in charge I’d have a horse-drawn wagon or something. Okay, I’m lame.

…and now there’s this one little nun standing in front of the PopeTruck, throwing out yellow petals of some sort from a basket. She doesn’t look official. But it’s a nice touch. Oh – she wasn’t official. A security guy has been remonstrating with her, and finally got her back to edge of the crowd, out of the way of the PopeTruck and she just flung the contents of her basket, all in a heap on the ground, before he ushered her out of the way…
