I am dreadfully behind on my book reviewing and noting on this blog. For the next week, I think I’ll make that the focus here, with Rome notes taking second place.

We’ll ease into this with a children’s book. I do this occasionally, since we go to the library twice a week and check out stacks of books. Once in a while, gold emerges, and I like to note them for those who are looking for such things – and you’re out there, I know it.

This one appeared last week:

Too Tired by Ann Turnbull

Here’s why I liked this one: it’s actually a Noah’s Ark book – and while there is no lack of Noah’s Ark books for children out there, this one’s a bit different. You can probably figure it out from the cover – the sloths are at the center of the story, and the problem is that despite the call to board the Ark, they’re just too tired and they won’t get moving. Cat fanciers might not be pleased, however, since while everyone else is quite concerned about the sloths…they really couldn’t care less.
