From PW’s Newsline:

A groundbreaking new book will come out next week that will refute the claims made in another new book that may undermine the tenets of a really old book. “The book is meant as a refutational handbook to all the refutational handbooks on the truths denied by the Da Vinci Code,”
said the publisher. “It will make things much clearer.”

The book, Breaking the Breaks in the Broken Da Vinci Code, was originally yanked from publication when the house’s counsel had been advised that it may be infringing on the trademark of Breaking the Da
Vinci Code. “They told me that I needed to worry that Breaking the Da Vinci Code was the original book to piggyback on the original book, and that another press may take offense, or even legal action, at our
shamelessness in aping their shamelessness,” the publisher said.

But the house decided to stand its ground, based on a need many of its staff members had personally sensed. Said the publisher: “So many people were coming up to people here and saying ‘My uncle read
Breaking Breaking the Da Vinci Code and really had a lot of questions. It was like his whole faith in books that debunk the Da Vinci Code was shattered.'”

In related news, a book from a major NY house that debunks the debunking of the new Left Behind book will not be published, in part because no one in New York has ever seen a book in the Left Behind
series.

Gotcha.

I will admit that when I read this, I was fooled for a second, not to speak of confused.
