A Prayer for the People of Oklahoma

Eternal God,

We stand in shock and horror;

Bring comfort to those who have lost–

Those who have lost their loved ones, their homes,

Their neighborhoods, their faith.

Be with them–Let your outstretched arm

Sooth them. Rebuild their hearts with hope,

And grant eternal life to those who lost their lives on earth.

Just as we are united in grief,

Help us stay united in hope.

As we comfort one another through the shadow of death,

Help us strengthen one another in saving life.

Be with us in our prayers, now and forever.
