NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been known for making headlines on the field—and for his high-profile relationships off of it. But these days, the 41-year-old is opening up about something even more meaningful: the quiet joy of finding lasting love.

In a recent interview with NFL Network during Steelers training camp, Rodgers couldn’t help but gush over his new wife, whom he married quietly in the offseason. “When you meet the right one and you’re with the right one, your whole world changes in a second,” Rodgers shared. “And to have that person that unconditionally loves you behind the scenes, there’s no better feeling in the world, and I’ve got the most incredible wife.”

Rodgers confirmed that he’s now a married man after being spotted wearing a wedding ring earlier this summer. “Yeah, it’s a wedding ring,” he told reporters. “Been a couple of months.”

Although little is known about his wife—except that her name is Brittani—Rodgers has made it clear that she prefers a private life. Still, he had no problem expressing how deeply she’s impacted his own. “I just really love her, and I’m so thankful to have her by my side at the end. When you have that stability and that rock behind you at the house, you feel like you can do anything.”

The four-time NFL MVP has had his fair share of public romances in the past, including relationships with actress Olivia Munn, former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, and actress Shailene Woodley. Those relationships often attracted media scrutiny—something Rodgers admits he didn’t enjoy.

In his recently released Netflix docuseries Enigma, Rodgers reflected on how fame often clashed with his desire for privacy. “I hated the fame,” he admitted, speaking about the off-field spotlight that came with his football success.

Now, it seems the Super Bowl-winning quarterback has found something more grounded. “Your whole world changes when you meet the right one,” he said again in the interview, emphasizing just how transformative real love can be.

Still, not everyone in Rodgers’ circle is familiar with his bride. According to the Daily Mail, Rodgers’ younger brother, Jordan—best known for winning The Bachelorette with now-wife JoJo Fletcher—reportedly didn’t attend the wedding and doesn’t know much about Brittani. “Jordan and JoJo didn’t go to the wedding and don’t even know anything really about Brittani,” a source shared.

Even with that family distance, Rodgers seems more at peace than ever before. After a brief and injury-plagued stint with the New York Jets, Rodgers signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the upcoming season. In an ironic twist, the Steelers will face off against the Jets in the season opener.

But whether on or off the field, Rodgers sounds like a man who knows what matters most. “To have that person that unconditionally loves you behind the scenes—there’s no better feeling in the world.”
