Tim Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow, are celebrating a new blessing in their lives: the birth of their first child, a baby girl named Daphne Reign Tebow.

“Our daughter is here! We couldn’t be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life,” Demi-Leigh shared on social media, calling their baby girl an “answered prayer.”

For the Tebows, who are known for their outspoken faith, every detail surrounding their daughter’s arrival is anchored in purpose. Demi-Leigh, a former Miss Universe, explained the deep family meaning behind the name “Daphne,” a name she has loved since childhood. She shared how her great-aunt Daphne stepped in as a grandmother figure in her life, describing her as “tiny, kind, and strong,” a woman who “loved Jesus, had the voice of an angel, and made everyone feel seen and special.”

“I used to tell my mom, ‘I want to be just like Ouma Daphne one day,'” Demi-Leigh wrote. “Shortly after Tim and I got married, I shared that desire with him, and thankfully, he loved the name just as much as I did.”

Their daughter’s middle name, “Reign,” also carries powerful spiritual significance for the couple. It reflects their Christian faith and heart for adoption and mission work through the Tim Tebow Foundation.

“It’s inspired by a precious little girl Tim and I have loved deeply for years,” Demi-Leigh explained. “Her story has shaped our hearts in ways I can’t even begin to explain. But more than anything, her name reminds us that when you’re adopted into God’s family, you become a child of the King. You were made to rule and reign — not in power, but in purpose, love, and identity.”

In a beautiful reflection of faith, she added, “So here she is — our daughter. Our answered prayer. Daphne Reign Tebow — created in the image of God. Royalty as His princess. Our biggest prayer over her life is to reign in God’s purpose for her life.”

The couple also expressed deep gratitude for the hospital staff who supported them during labor and delivery, thanking their doctor, nurses, and the entire medical team for their compassionate care.

Tim Tebow, 37, a former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, and Demi-Leigh, 30, have been open about their desire to honor God through their marriage and family life. The two announced their pregnancy in January, calling it a joyful new chapter and a blessing they were eager to embrace.

“We are just so excited and so over the moon to be having a baby together,” Demi-Leigh told People earlier this year. Tim shared that he was “honored for the privilege of getting the responsibility and the joy of being mom and dad.”
