After more than a decade of marriage, country star Jason Aldean says the secret to a strong relationship isn’t perfection—it’s grace.
In a recent interview, Aldean offered a refreshingly honest look at life with his wife, Brittany, revealing that even after 11 years together, they’ve learned the importance of simply letting go of disagreements and choosing unity over being right.
“I just think that sometimes you realize that you’re just not always going to see eye-to-eye on things,” Aldean shared. “There are certain things that she’s never going to see where I’m coming from and vice versa… and you just kind of have to go with it. Agree to disagree.”
It’s a mindset that has helped anchor their marriage through the highs and challenges of life in the spotlight. Rather than letting tension linger, Aldean says they’ve learned to move forward with perspective.
“Once you learn to kind of let go of that stuff instead of letting it sit there and bother you all day… it’s like, ‘Yeah, we’re never going to see eye-to-eye on this, so let’s keep moving.'”
For Aldean, that kind of humility and patience has been key to building a lasting bond. He describes Brittany not just as his wife, but as his best friend—a foundation that has helped their relationship thrive.
“I feel like we’ve always been super tight. I mean, we’re best friends,” he said. “We are super supportive of each other… whether it be my business ventures or her business ventures or whatever the case may be.”
The couple, who married in 2015, is raising two children together while also blending a larger family. Over time, Aldean says Brittany has stepped confidently into her role—not only as a mother, but as a partner navigating the complexities of his established career.
“When you’re first getting married… It’s like, ‘Well, this is fun.’ And then as time goes on… she’s kind of figured out her place in all this,” he explained. “To see how she’s handled that has been amazing.”
Now, more than a decade in, Aldean reflects on their life together with gratitude.
“Where we’re at now is, we have this amazing family, amazing life and careers, and it’s just… It’s been awesome.”
While the couple recently collaborated professionally for the first time, Aldean made it clear that their partnership goes far beyond any project. What stands out most is the mutual respect and support they’ve built over time.
Their story offers a simple but powerful reminder: strong marriages aren’t built on always agreeing—they’re built on choosing love, extending grace, and continuing forward together even when differences arise.
In a culture that often highlights division, Aldean’s perspective reflects a deeper truth, echoed in Scripture: that love “keeps no record of wrongs” and “always perseveres.” And sometimes, the healthiest words a couple can say are simply, “let’s keep moving.”
