Lana Del Rey recently opened up about the profound impact her close friend and collaborator, Jack Antonoff, has had on her personal life, particularly her decision to get married.

During the Variety Hitmakers Brunch on December 7th, the 39-year-old singer presented Antonoff, 40, with the prestigious Producer of the Decade award. While honoring her longtime collaborator, Lana shared a heartfelt revelation about how Antonoff’s relationship with his wife, actress Margaret Qualley, inspired her to take the leap into marriage.

“Most of all, I’m grateful for [Jack], for the example he gave me in his marriage to Margaret,” Lana said, referencing the couple who tied the knot in August 2023. She continued, “I saw the way he looked at her when he met her, and he’s a big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband.”

Lana married Jeremy Dufrene, a 49-year-old alligator tour guide, in September after a whirlwind romance. Reflecting on her journey, she shared that she once felt cursed as a singer when it came to finding a genuine partner. Antonoff’s influence helped her overcome that notion, ultimately leading her to her now-husband.

“Jack, thank you so much for helping other people look at me in a way that’s closer to how I see myself,” she added. “Other than my managers, you’ve really turned my life around. You’ve shown me that Hollywood can still feel glamorous, and you can have a rich home life, even when you’re rich.”

Lana and Jeremy were first romantically linked in August 2023 after being spotted together at a London lunch and later walking hand-in-hand at the Leeds Festival. The relationship, while brief before their marriage, had been years in the making.
