Amid reports that almost half of U.S. adults believe dating has become more challenging in the last 10 years, with 75 percent of respondents struggling to find love, American Casino Guide wanted to uncover the states where singles have the best odds of finding love.

Experts analyzed the volume of single people over 20 against overall population numbers to reveal the best states to find love. The study found that Nevada is the best state to find love, with every 1 in 2.40 Nevadans being single. Louisiana is in second place, where every 1 in 2.41 people are single, which is two-fifths of the population. Idaho is in last place, with the worst odds of finding love in the United States. The chances of finding someone single in the Gem State are 1 in every 3.19.

Nevada has the highest odds of finding love, with a dating pool of 990,955 eligible singles. In Nevada, almost 42 percent of the state’s population is aged 20 and above. The Silver State’s dating pool is more than double that of the bordering state of Idaho, which has the worst odds of finding love.

Coming in second on the list is Louisiana, with 1 in every 2.41 people are single, meaning there’s a high chance you could meet your next lover. Forty-one percent of people in Louisiana are 20 and older, so the dating pool has over 1 million eligible singles. These stats are remarkably more than the neighboring state of Arkansas, where there are just 807,751 singles, just 36 percent of their population.

New York ranked third on the list with a remarkable single prevalence ratio of 1 in every 2.47. Singles traveling to New York have the third highest odds of bumping into other singles, making it one of the best states to find love. You can find 6,171,449 eligible singles in the Empire State, the fourth-largest dating pool in the U.S.

Alaska is in tenth place, where you have a 1 in 2.58 chance of meeting someone single. The state has 205,782 single people over 20, almost 39 percent of its population. It also has the eleventh-highest number of bars, with an impressive 12.59 bars per 10,000 people, meaning there are plenty of places to meet and mingle with other singles.

Idaho brings up the rear on the list, where there’s a 1 in 3.19 chance of meeting other singles. With 432,035 singles over 20, 31 percent of Idaho’s population is single, the lowest in the U.S. The top 10 states on the list are Nevada, Louisiana, New York, California, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Mississippi, Georgia, Massachusetts, and Alaska.

If you’re on the hunt for love, try visiting or moving to one of these states. You never know; your next partner could be there already!
