Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman, Nick Allegretti had an eventful Sunday after welcoming twin girls and earning his second Super Bowl ring. At 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, his wife Cristina delivered healthy twin girls back at home in Chicago. Although Allegretti couldn’t be there in person, he watched the whole thing through FaceTime from the hotel lobby in Arizona with his parents while the rest of the team rested before their big game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Allegretti wasn’t the only Chiefs player on baby watch this weekend. Around the same time Allegretti’s wife was giving birth to their twin girls, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman tweeted that his girlfriend, Chariah Gordon, had gone into labor. Hardman went on injured reserve earlier in the week and was not available to play in the Super Bowl.

On the Eagles side of things, there was also a player wondering if his wife would go into labor during the special Super Bowl weekend. Starting center, Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie, is also expecting at any moment. However Kylie was in attendance of the game in Arizona, but brought along her OB-GYN in case she were to go into labor while present. This was something that had been planned for quite some time telling People magazine, “They were undefeated at the time, and we just had a moment of, ‘Hypothetically speaking, the due date lines up very well with a Super Bowl date. If we happen to need to discuss that, would someone be open to coming with me?'” said Kylie. “And, of course, they were very understanding of the situation and said, ‘Of course, hypothetically speaking’ that someone would be able to accompany us.”

The Chiefs won the game against the Eagles, 38-35, with a few Chiefs players winning more than just a Super Bowl ring.
