American Society of Magazine Editors “Best Cover Contest” for 2009 includes the category “Best Obama Cover” (And both Time and Newsweek have so many contenders 🙂 Media imitating parody:

We thought we were being a little bratty last year when we ran a list of “Hagiographic Cover Treatments of Obama” along with “10 Covers We Loved” for 2008.

But maybe we were not just bratty but onto something. Because this year the American Society of Magazine Editors has expanded its annual cover contest to include a whole category for covers featuring Barack Obama.
